Our Hands Are Not Tied,” the audio documentary produced by students in SEM 300 in cooperation with WYBF, continues to win national and regional awards:

Philadelphia Air Awards: 1st Place: Grayce Turnbach’s Editorial, “An Economy in Crisis: A College Student’s Perspective”; nominated in 4 other categories. Society of Professional Journalists: 2nd Place Radio Feature.

Communicator Award of Excellence:  Promotions category: “4 Hours Later,” Angela Savasta, Gillian Davis, Caitlin Friel.

Megan Pellegrino ’09 won Best Radio News Editorial, 2007 Philadelphia College Air Awards, for her “9/11 Remembrance,” and was nominated for Best Promo.

Janene Gibbons ’09 and Marcella DiSandro ’09 won Best Documentary, 2007 Philadelphia College Air Awards, for “Bombs in My Head.”

Jillian Smith ’09 was 1 of 4 finalists in the nation for her “Quiet Promo” in the Collegiate Broadcasters Incorporated Production Awards 2007.
